The 2026 edition of the Free Summer Coaching Programme by Ijede LCDA for pupils in Basic 4 to 6 across the council commenced on Monday, as planned
The holiday coaching will run through Thursday, 3rd September 2026.
The initiative is designed to bridge learning gaps and prepare pupils for a stronger return to the classroom in the new session.
Classes for the tuition free lessons are being held simultaneously at four centres: Egbin Kingdom Primary School, Egbin; Anwar-Ul-Islam Primary School, Ijede; Community Primary School, Abule-Eko; and Igbe Ogunro Community Nursery and Primary School, Igbe, Ijede.
In her remarks at the commencement of the exercise, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, reiterates her administration remains committed to investing in young people and promoting academic excellence, strengthening pupils’ foundation in learning, and easing parents’ financial burden of private tutorials.”
